Electron interactions with molecules are of great interest in many fields of the scientific knowledge, since the purely academic interest to applications in technological, biological and astronomical areas. In this work we will present results available in the literature calculated for elastic scattering of low-energy electrons by molecules employing the Schwinger multichannel method. It will be also presented cross sections obtained theoretically and experimentally for the elastic scattering of electrons by chlorobenzene molecule. The experimental cross sections were obtained in the experimental setup (HREELS - High Resolution Electron Energy Loss Spectroscopy) available at LCAM-FCT-UNL.
