o aluno de doutoramento Tiago Cunha irá apresentar um resumo do seu trabalho de Doutoramento que está quase a terminar.
Titulo: Electron transfer processes in potassium collisions with purine molecules
Resumo: A molecular crossed beam setup is used in total and double differential cross sections measurements of electron transfer processes involving an alkali beam and molecular targets in the gas-phase. Ion-pair formation is studied by time-of-flight high resolution mass spectrometry in a wide collision energy range (6–68 eV) in the centre-of-mass frame, to provide a comprehensive investigation of the fragmentation patterns of adenine and its derivatives. Moreover, a hemispherical energy analyser have been implemented and K+ energy loss in forward direction have been measured in potassium-nitromethane collisions with a resolution of 0.4eV ranging from about 0 to 15eV.
